Gateway Trust in New Basford is appealing for donations to help replace its minibus, which is reaching the end of its life after three years of regular use.
The Nottingham recovery project says the vehicle has become a lifeline for residents, supporting both day-to-day needs and wider opportunities to take part in activities away from the project.
The current minibus was bought three years ago after a private donation, but wear and tear now means it needs to be replaced.
Gateway Trust uses the vehicle to take residents to vital meetings, weekly food shopping and community activities, as well as occasional day trips and seasonal outings.

The project said the minibus helps residents stay connected, attend appointments and take part in experiences that support recovery and wellbeing. Trips have included visits to Alton Towers, beach days, nature walks, camping, and the annual Christmas pantomime.
The charity said the vehicle also plays a practical role each week by helping residents get to the shops for food and essentials.
Gateway Trust is now asking supporters and members of the public to contribute towards the cost of a replacement minibus so residents can continue to travel safely and reliably.
A spokesperson for the project said: “Our residents rely on the minibus for all kinds of journeys, from important meetings and weekly food shopping to days out that give people something positive to look forward to.
“The vehicle has served us well, but it is now reaching the end of its life. We know it is a big ask, but every donation, no matter the size, will help keep our residents on the move.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us in the past. Their kindness has quite literally kept us rolling, and we hope people will consider helping us again.”
Gateway Trust said all donations will go directly towards replacing the minibus.
