The Chestnut in Radcliffe-on-Trent to reopen in September.
The Chestnut in Radcliffe-on-Trent will reopen on Thursday 3 September under the management of a Nottinghamshire hospitality company.
Wonderkid Hospitality, which also operates Fellows Morton & Clayton in Nottingham and The Heart at Ruddington, has announced plans to reopen the village pub and is recruiting staff to join its new team.
The company is run by Clint and Jamie and said it intends to retain the character of The Chestnut while making a number of changes to its drinks range, events and day-to-day operation.
Five cask ales will be available, alongside a revised wine selection, a small cocktail menu and bar snacks. The pub will also introduce a loyalty card offering customers a free pint after collecting ten stamps.
Although no major initial alterations to the building have been announced, the operator said further changes would be introduced in the weeks following the reopening.
A manager described as a familiar face will oversee the pub’s daily operation. Wonderkid Hospitality is also looking for additional employees aged over 18 who can serve alcohol without supervision. Applications are being invited through the business’s social media channels.
The Chestnut will open from 3pm until 11pm between Monday and Thursday and from noon until 11pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Doors will reopen on Thursday 3 September.
