Image released after man ‘glassed’ in Nottingham beer garden

Officers have released an image of a man they wish to trace after a bottle attack in a city centre beer garden.

The incident happened on Sunday 14 July in the Bierkeller pub in Friar Lane at around 9.55pm.

A 31-year-old man was smashed over the head with a bottle and received medical treatment at the scene.

The suspect then left the pub with a friend.

Police attended the pub shortly after the incident was reported and a number of lines of inquiry have been carried out.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Officers have now released an image of a man that could help further their investigation and are calling on the public’s help to identify him.

PC James Mckeown, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a nasty assault in a pub beer garden. The incident took place during the Euro cup final and the pub was extremely busy.

“We are determined to catch the person responsible. We have released an image of a man that could help with our inquiries and are calling on the public’s help.
