Image released after pub attack leaves victim with broken jaw

Police investigating an assault that left a man with a broken jaw have released CCTV images in a bid to track down his attacker.

The 38-year-old victim was inside a pub in Carrington when an unknown man struck up a conversation with him.

During the conversation, the unknown person became irate and angry. Moments later, he grabbed the victim’s throat and pinned him against a wall in the pub’s outdoor smoking area, whilst punching him to the ribs and face.

The assault, on Thursday 28 March, left the victim with a broken jaw that required surgery.

Officers believe the man pictured in these images may be able to help them with their investigation.

Police Staff Investigator Jodie Ridgewell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This incident left a man with a significant injury and we are determined to track down the person responsible.

“After reviewing CCTV footage, we have identified a man we would like to speak with.

“Efforts to identify them have so far been unsuccessful, so we are now releasing these images publicly.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting crime number 24*191485. Information can also be passed in confidence to Crimestoppers.
