Image released after woman spat on in Nottingham

Officers investigating reports that a woman was spat at have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident happened inside an address in Friar Lane, Nottingham city centre, at around 1:30 pm on 17 October 2023.

The victim and her friend had earlier been on the number 77 bus in the city centre when a man reportedly started arguing with them.

After they got off the bus, it’s alleged the man spat on her inside an address and then ran off.

Officers believe the man pictured in these images may be able to help them with their investigation and have urged him to come forward.

PC Archie Oldroyd, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a horrible experience for the victim and our inquiries are ongoing to trace the offender.

“To assist us with our investigation, we would like to hear from anyone who can help us to identify the man pictured in these images.”

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any other relevant information, is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 337 of 17 October 2023, or make contact via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
