Images of two men released after man punched and headbutted in Nottingham pub

Police are trying to trace these two men following an assault in a Nottingham city centre pub.

The victim was playing pool inside The Newmarket, in Lower Parliament Street, when he was attacked.

Two men approached him, before punching him in the face and headbutting him.

The victim was knocked to the ground and left with a broken nose following the assault, which happened around 11:10 pm on 4 July.

Police were notified on 9 July, at which point an investigation was launched to try and establish exactly what happened.

Officers can now release these images of two men they’d like to question as part of their ongoing inquiries.

PC Temeesha Hobbs, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“The victim was minding their own business playing pool when they were suddenly assaulted and ultimately left with a broken nose.

“Quite simply, this level of violence is completely unacceptable, so we’re determined to track down whoever was responsible for this.

“We strongly believe the two men pictured will be able to assist us in our ongoing investigation, so we’d ask that they make themselves known to us.

“If anyone else recognises either of these men, our request is that you share this information with us as well.”

Reports can be made directly to the police on 101, quoting incident 332 of 9 July 2026, while Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
