Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Premium Lager has achieved another milestone as it becomes available on draught in 105 Marston’s pubs across England, Scotland, and Wales.
This is the first national pub partnership for the award-winning lager, offering fans the chance to enjoy the bold, citrusy brew in their local.
Hawkstone Lager’s Winning Formula
Hawkstone Premium Lager, brewed using spring barley from Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, has taken the beer world by storm. Since its debut on Clarkson’s Farm Season 2, the lager has been celebrated for its bold flavour profile—featuring tones of citrus, malt, and a subtle bitterness with a smooth finish. Its quality has been validated by beer experts, winning gold at the 2024 World Beer Awards and earning the title of Country Winner for England.
Born and brewed in the Cotswolds with barley sourced exclusively from British farmers, Hawkstone is now the fastest-growing beer brand in the UK. The Sunday Times recently ranked it 24th on their list of the UK’s 100 fastest-growing businesses, highlighting its success and popularity among beer enthusiasts.
Marston’s Partnership
Marston’s, a national pub brand known for its warm and welcoming venues, has partnered with Hawkstone to champion the farming community. The partnership aligns with Hawkstone’s mission to celebrate British farmers, as the lager’s success directly supports local agriculture. For every pint poured, more barley is purchased from British farmers—a point Clarkson is keen to emphasize.
Claire Robertson, Director of Operations at Marston’s, expressed her enthusiasm:
“We’re so excited to now be pouring Hawkstone at over 100 of our cosy pubs across the country. We really admire the work that Hawkstone is doing to champion our farming communities and are proud to be able to do our bit to support. We work hard to give our guests the best possible experience and serve the very best quality food and beverages. We’re delighted to be adding the award-winning lager to our taps.”
Celebrations Across the UK
To mark the occasion, pubs across the country have been hosting local farming heroes to pour the first pints of Hawkstone. From the Conquerors March in Hastings to The Willow Beck in Northallerton, pubs have joined in celebrating the lager’s arrival. At The Fallow Field in Telford, members of Harper Adams University’s Brewing Society and Newport Young Farmers poured the first pints, arriving in true farming style—by tractor.

Jeremy Clarkson’s Message to Fans
Jeremy Clarkson, founder of Hawkstone, shared his excitement:
“Farming isn’t just ‘how’ Hawkstone is made, it’s ‘why’ it’s made. The more Hawkstone you drink, the more barley we buy from British farmers. That’s why we’re thrilled Marston’s is serving pints on draught in over 100 pubs nationwide. So visit your local Marston’s pub, enjoy a pint of Hawkstone, and help us celebrate the farming community this festive season.”
