The A46 in Leicestershire is closed northbound between M1 J21A and the A5630 due to a Police led incident. Traffic has also been held on the southbound carriageway.

4:30 pm 15 December: Emergency services including Leicestershire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on the scene assisting with traffic management.
Diversion Details
Northbound traffic is being diverted via the solid diamond diversion symbol
- Continue on the M1 northbound to J22 and take the exit.
- At the roundabout, turn right onto the A50 eastbound and continue to the A50/A46 Groby Interchange.
- Take the A50 southbound and then at the roundabout with the A563, take the A563 headed northbound.
- At the following roundabout, take the A5630 to re-join the A46 at Anstey junction.
Southbound traffic remains held, with delays of at least 30 minutes being reported on approach.
