The A46 in Nottinghamshire is closed northbound between the A606 (Kinoulton) and A52 (Saxondale) following a collision involving a lorry.

The cattle have been removed off and the A46 unharmed – northbound between A606 Kinoulton & A52 Saxondale is now open

Following a collision involving a lorry transporting livestock overturning the A46 northbound is currently closed with Nottinghamshire Police working at the scene to round up the cows which are loose on the carriageway.
The overturned vehicle also needs to be righted and recovered safely, which can’t begin until the animals have been safely contained.
Diversion Routes
Traffic is being diverted at the scene of the incident using local routes, however a strategic diversion is available below for those travelling from further afield
Northbound road users are advised to follow the below diversion route which is not symbol led.
- Exit the A46 northbound at the interchange with the A6006.
- Join the A6006 towards Rempstone.
- At Rempstone turn right on to the A60 towards Nottingham.
- At the Nottingham Knight Roundabout with the A52 take the third exit.
- Follow the A52 eastbound to the Saxondale Interchange with the A46.

Road closed and queueing traffic due to rolled over cattle trailer and cows on road on A46 Northbound between the Cropwell Butler turn off and the A52 Saxondale Roundabout. Congestion to before the Harby turn off. A trailer carrying four cows has overturned.
