M1 J29 closure – AMENDED diversion in place for northbound traffic

There is a diversions in place after police closed the M1 due to an ongoing incident this morning.

Diversion routes:

Northbound Diversion – Hollow Triangle Symbol
For drivers affected by the northbound closure of the M1 between J29 (Chesterfield) and J29A (Bolsover), follow the hollow trianglediversion symbol:

1. Exit the M1 at Junction 29 and take the A617 westbound towards Chesterfield.
2. At the roundabout with the A61, take the A61 northboundtowards Sheffield.
3. Continue on the A61 and then join the A619 eastboundtowards Barlborough.
4. Follow signs to rejoin the M1 at Junction 30.
