There are delays on the M1 after a road collision around J29.

The M1 in Derbyshire is closed in northbound between J29 for (Chesterfield) and J30 (Barlborough) due to a Derbyshire Police Led Incident.
The M1 was initially closed in both directions at J29 to allow emergency service crews to work at the scene of a Derbyshire Police led incident, shortly after the initial response the southbound carriageway was able to re-open.
The northbound carriageway remained closed with Derbyshire Police continuing to work at scene and at roughly 10:00 the closure was extended to J30 near Barlborough.
Derbyshire Police are leading the response with National Highways traffic officers assisting with traffic management

For drivers affected by the northbound closure of the M1 between J29 (Chesterfield) and J29A (Bolsover), follow the hollow trianglediversion symbol:
- Exit the M1 at Junction 29 and take the A617 westbound towards Chesterfield.
- At the roundabout with the A61, take the A61 northboundtowards Sheffield.
- Continue on the A61 and then join the A619 eastboundtowards Barlborough.
- Follow signs to rejoin the M1 at Junction 30.

The M1 is closed between junction 29A-29 Southbound and Northbound, with the Northbound entry slip road on junction 29A also being closed due to an ongoing police incident. Please allow for extra time when travelling and look for alternative routes.
