Bus passengers face delays in Nottingham today, Sunday 4 October, as congestion around the Maid Marian Way demolition works continues to affect services.
Nottingham City Transport has reported delays on Red 45/B, Navy and Green Line services due to traffic through the works.
Trentbarton has also warned of severe delays, with several routes terminating at Broadmarsh Bus Station instead of their usual city centre stops.
In an update issued at 12.10pm on Saturday 3 October, the operator said traffic across the city centre and surrounding roads had become heavily congested.
The following services will terminate at Broadmarsh until further notice and will not serve Friar Lane, Beastmarket Hill or Mount Street:
- the cotgrave: Bay 8
- the keyworth: Bay 5
- mainline: Bay 6
- skylink Nottingham: Bay 3
- skylink express: Bay 2
i4 and indigo will continue to serve Friar Lane as normal.
Trentbarton said the temporary arrangements were intended to help keep buses moving and improve reliability, although severe delays continued to affect journey times.
Passengers travelling today are advised to allow extra time and check their operator’s latest service updates before setting off.
