Police were called to an address in Nottingham last night after a man was stabbed.
Officers were called to Colwick Road at around 10.25 pm after reports of a disturbance.
On arrival, they discovered a man in the street with a stab wound to his chest. He remains in hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
Detective Constable Neil Beddoe said: “We are at the early stages of our enquiry and are still seeking to understand what has happened in this case.
“If anyone has any information that may assist in our investigation please call 101 quoting incident 767 of 27 August.”
