Police have arrested a suspect after a man was stabbed at a Nottingham bar.
Officers were quickly on the scene following the incident at Skybar, inside The Cornerhouse in Forman Street, shortly before 10pm last night (Saturday 6 July).
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening or life-altering.
Following inquiries, a 33-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 7 July). He remains in custody and is being questioned in connection with the incident, as officers also speak to witnesses and view CCTV footage in the area.
Detective Sergeant Alana Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was a violent assault which could easily have led to a far more serious outcome. Officers were quickly on the scene and a suspect has been detained.
“Our investigation remains at an early stage and I would urge anyone with additional information to come forward and speak to us at the earliest opportunity.
“We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause. I would like to reassure the public that we are working every day to target people who carry weapons and to work proactively with groups to prevent offences from happening.”
