Detectives are seeking the public’s help after a man suffered a slash wound to his shoulder during a late night assault.
An investigation is ongoing into the incident which is currently believed to have happened near to The Man of Iron pub in Pasture Road, Stapleford.
The assault was reported to police at 11.11pm on Thursday (23 November 2023).
The victim was assisted by members of the public who wrapped his wound with clothing and used a belt as a makeshift tourniquet.
Thankfully, he suffered a superficial wound only and he was subsequently discharged from hospital.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are treating this incident seriously and a team of detectives is working hard to locate the person responsible for this attack.
“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who may have any other information which could help us with our inquiries, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to please come forward and to speak to us.
“Similarly, we’d like to hear from anyone who may have recorded dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage which may assist us with our ongoing inquiries.”
