Police are trying to trace two men who were reportedly subjected to racist abuse outside a Nottingham city centre nightclub.
Officers received reports that a man had aimed abuse at several people at Popworld, in the Poultry.
Security staff at the venue ejected an individual and held him until officers arrived.
The incident happened around 1.55am on Saturday 24 October, with officers attending soon afterwards to detain the suspect.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and has since been bailed with conditions.
Inquiries into the incident remain ongoing, with officers now trying to locate two members of the public who were allegedly abused.
A Black man and a man of Asian descent were standing outside the nightclub, near the entrance, when abuse was reportedly aimed at them.
One of the men was wearing a dark puffa jacket, dark trousers and white trainers, while the other wore a dark green jacket and dark trousers.
PC Paul Pugsley said: “While we’ve arrested a suspect in connection with this incident, we’re keen to also speak to two men we believe were subjected to racist abuse.
“We understand these two members of the public were standing outside when they were targeted by someone who had just been ejected from a night club.
“It really should go without saying but this type of behaviour is completely unacceptable and can’t be allowed to go unpunished.
“Bearing this in mind, our ask to either victim, should they see this appeal, is to make yourself known to us, so that you can help us with our ongoing inquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 49 of 24 October 2026.
