Man threatened with a knife in a Nottingham street – image released

Detectives are asking for help after a man was threatened with a knife in the street.

The victim was in Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, around midday on 8 July 2026 when he was approached by a stranger.

The man produced a knife and made threats, before the victim was able to flee unharmed and seek assistance in a nearby pub.

Detective Constable Laura Morton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a frightening incident for the victim who was threatened by a stranger wielding a knife.

“We are supporting him and have been in regular contact about our progress in the investigation.

“Our CCTV and other local inquiries have been extensive, but we are now asking for the public’s help.

“We’d like to speak to the man pictured so we can take his account of what happened, so if you know him, please get in touch.

“Anyone with information about the incident should also contact police without delay.”
