Mansfield Fire: Residents still unable to return to homes as incident ongoing

At this time residents are unable to return to their properties.

This is likely to be the case for a number of hours while inquiries are undertaken to make sure it is safe.

Oak Tree Leisure Centre, in Jubilee Way South, is open and will remain open to anyone who needs it as a place of safety for members of the public affected by the fire.

We are continuing to ask residents in the area to please keep doors and windows closed and stay away from the area while Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service continue to tackle the fire.

This is an ongoing incident, and we are working with our partners at Nottinghamshire County Council and the fire service.
