McDonalds incident: Boy, 15, arrested after 50 youths enter and rob city restaurant

A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with an incident in a city centre McDonald’s.

A large group of youths entered the Clumber Street premises in Nottingham at around 9pm on Sunday (21 August), with some jumping over the counter to steal food and soft drinks.

It is believed the same group went on to cause disturbances at KFC in Milton Street and Cineworld at the Cornerhouse in Forman Street on the same evening.

Since the reports, a team of detectives and police staff have been pursuing a number of lines of inquiry to identify those involved.

Today, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary and affray. He remains in custody for questioning.
