A man is due in court charged with the theft of two mobile phones during a Nottingham music event.
Security staff alerted Nottinghamshire Police after detaining a man they believed had been pickpocketing people at a Motionless in White concert, held at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on Friday 6 February.
Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody.
Two mobile phones were seized and returned to their owners. Two cloths believed to have been used during the thefts were also recovered.
Nicolai Christian, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of theft and going equipped to steal.
The 42-year-old has been bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 19 March 2026.

“People have their worlds on their phones and the loss of their device is devastating to them.
“In this case, two victims have been reunited with their phones and I’d like to thank the security team at Motorpoint Arena for their assistance in apprehending a suspect who now awaits court proceedings.”
