New raised zebra crossing planned for Compton Acres

Via East Midlands Ltd, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council is proposing to install a raised zebra crossing across Compton Acres, West Bridgford.

The proposed raised zebra crossing will be located on Compton Acres approximately 78 metres north of its junction with Belton Drive. It is being installed to assist pedestrians crossing Compton Acres including pedestrians travelling to the nearby nursery and shopping facilities.

The crossing will have a controlled area, indicated by zig-zag markings, along the carriageway where parking and loading will be prohibited.

The effects of the road hump will be a single 75mm high, 9.5m long (including approach ramps), flat-topped road hump (plateau).
