Nottingham city expected traffic disruption and roadworks this week

Nottingham city traffic and travel disruption expected this week commencing 30 September.

  • Sunday 22 September – Wednesday 9 October: Forest park-and-ride closed for Goose Fair. Tram services run as normal
  • Sunday 29 September: Numerous temporary road closures across the city during the morning and into the early afternoon for the Robin Hood Marathon 2024.
  • Monday 23 September – Sunday 6 October: lane closures on Maid Marian Way, Derby Road, Tollhouse Hill and Lower Parliament Street for resurfacing work on the island and approaches
  • Monday 30 September – Sunday 1 December: bus-lane closure, 33 Mansfield Road to just outside Woodthorpe Drive for Cadent gas main replacement
  • Monday 7 October – Wednesday 9 October: parking bay suspension between 20 and 28 Sneinton Road, for Cadent gas works
  • Monday 14 October – Wednesday 23 October: road closure on Aston Avenue, Lenton Abbey, on the side of 101 Woodside Road for installation work on electric charging stations
  • Tuesday 15 October – Thursday 17 October: parking bay suspension in North Sherwood Street, Arboretum, opposite 79 North Sherwood Street and junction of Ossington Close, for pole installation
  • Saturday 19 October – Sunday 27 October: road closure of Highhurst Street, Radford, between Alfreton Road and Holden Street for excavation to install high-voltage electrical cable
  • Monday 21 October – Thursday 24 October: parking bay suspension from the junction of Mansfield Road to opposite number 13 Drayton Street, Sherwood, for Cadent gas works
  • Monday 21 October – Friday 25 October: parking bay suspension between 62 and 66 Addison Street, in the Arboretum, for National Grid works
  • Wednesday 30 October – Friday 1 November: Road closure of Holgate Road, in the Meadows, between Beauvale Road and Wilford Grove for Severn Trent works
  • Wednesday 30 October – Friday 1 November: Road closure and parking bay suspension in Mettham Street, Lenton, between Lenton Boulevard and Harley Street for National Grid works
  • Monday 5 August – Monday 30 September: Road closure and parking suspensions on The Wells Road, plus road closure on Kildare Road, Querneby Road & Mission Street for gasworks
  • Monday 12 August – Friday 27 September: Road closure on Bestwood Road, Bulwell, between Gee Tee signs & 161 Bestwood Road for Severn Trent Water works
  • Monday 19 August – Friday 20 December: two-way lights on Abbotsford Drive between Teak Close and Church Road for works to the subway structure
  • Monday 2 – Tuesday 17 September: Multi-way signals at the junction of Ransom Road and Caunton Avenue for Cadent gasworks, expected to be mainly off-peak
  • Monday 2 September – Sunday 1 November: Suspension of bridle way at the rear of Hawksley Gardens, Clifton West, from its intersection with Yew Tree Lane continuing in a southerly direction to its intersection with Fox Covert Lane for construction works
  • Tuesday 10 – Monday 16 September: Lane closure Gregory Boulevard outside Open University for Cadent gasworks
  • Saturday 14 September 9.30am – 3.30pm: three-way lights on Woodbank Drive Wollaton for Severn Trent Water works
  • Saturday 21 September 10.01pm – Sunday 22 September 8.45am: Road closure at level crossing on Colwick Road, Dales for level crossing inspection
  • Sunday 29 September 00.01am – 7.30am: Road closure at level crossing on Colwick Road, Dales for level crossing inspection
  • Monday 30 September – Sunday 1 December: Road closure on Elmswood Gardens Sherwood, at junction with Mansfield Road for Cadent gasworks
  • Until 31 March 2025: Parking bay suspension and partial road closure on Kent Street, St Ann’s for construction works
  • Until Thursday 31 July 2025: Road closure on length of Denman Street East, Radford, between Highhurst Street and Thackery Street, for development works
  • Until Thursday 31 July 2025: Road closure of Thackeray Street and Parking bay suspension on Denman Street East, Highurst Street & Boden Street for new development
