The issues today are planned works, with new restrictions on the A52 Derby Road from this morning and major overnight closures beginning tonight on A60 Mansfield Road and Hucknall Road.
Roads and motorways
The A1 northbound has fully reopened between A6075 (Tuxford) and A638 (Markham Moor) after being closed yesterday due to a serious collision.
No major new collision or emergency closure has been identified on Nottinghamshire’s principal strategic roads at the time of the early check.
Drivers using the A52 Derby Road between the University of Nottingham and QMC face a new restriction from today.
National Highways says an eastbound lane is closed from the University North Entrance bus stop to QMC roundabout from 01:00 today until 20:00 on Thursday 17 September. The bus stop is also closed while a new pedestrian guardrail is installed.

A52 Wheatcroft
The separate major works around Wheatcroft junction in West Bridgford also continue.
Utility diversion work is taking place ahead of reconstruction of the junction, with weekday lane restrictions and a 40mph speed limit through the works.
The utility phase is expected to last around three months, with Wheatcroft forming part of the wider A52 Nottingham Junctions programme.
Rail – new engineering alterations from today
There are several changes to East Midlands Railway services beginning today.
Engineering work in the Derby area means the 17:50 Norwich to Sheffield will operate as two separate trains from Monday to Thursday – Norwich to Nottingham and then the 20:37 Nottingham to Sheffield.
Tonight’s 23:50 Nottingham to Derby will also leave Nottingham five minutes earlier, at 23:45.
From Tuesday morning, the 05:21 Derby to Nottingham will instead leave Derby at 05:46, run up to 28 minutes later and will not call at Beeston. These alterations continue until Friday.
London trains – late service will not reach Nottingham
There is another significant change to late-night London services from tonight.
From Monday to Thursday, the 22:35 London St Pancras to Nottingham will terminate at Derby at 00:44 and will not serve Beeston or Nottingham.
A replacement bus will operate from East Midlands Parkway to Nottingham.

Passengers are being directed to the alternative stop opposite QMC on Derby Road.
Major A60 Mansfield Road closure starts tonight
One of the most significant new schemes begins at 20:00 tonight.
The inbound A60 Mansfield Road between Goose Fair Island and Mapperley Road/Forest Road East will close overnight between 20:00 and 06:00 until Friday 25 September.
There will be no works on the nights of Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September.
Inbound traffic will divert via Gregory Boulevard, Alfreton Road, Upper Parliament Street, South Sherwood Street and Mansfield Road.
Outbound traffic remains open, although lane restrictions will be in place.
Mansfield Road – major bus diversions tonight
The A60 closure affects a large number of NCT services.
All Brown, Lime, Yellow and Purple Line buses towards Nottingham will divert from Goose Fair Island via Gregory Boulevard, Alfreton Road and Canning Circus before reaching the city centre.
Affected services include 15, 16, 17, 56, 58, 59, 68, 69, 69A, 70, 70B, 71, 71B, 87, 88, 89 and 89A.
Stops at Forest Recreation Ground, Forest Road, Huntingdon Street, Woodborough Road, Victoria Centre J1 and South Sherwood Street G3 will not be served by inbound buses during the closure.
Hucknall Road – overnight closure starts tonight
Another major Nottingham closure begins tonight on Hucknall Road.
Resurfacing works require overnight closures from 19:00, affecting NCT Turquoise 79 and trentbarton travel alerts services.
The 79 will divert via Carey Road, St Albans Road, Top Valley Way, Top Valley Drive and Bestwood Park Drive West.
The works are part of an overnight programme continuing later this month.
Bramcote Lane
The weekday closure of Bramcote Lane resumes today.
Between 09:30 and 17:00, NCT 18A and Pink 30 divert via Wollaton Vale and Trowell Road.
The current programme is scheduled to finish on Thursday 17 September.
Bathley Street
The longer-term closure of Bathley Street at Arkwright Street continues, affecting Green 11 and 11C.
The junction remains closed until Friday 9 October, with buses diverted through Meadows Way and London Road towards Lady Bay.
Maid Marian Way – Broad Marsh
Traffic management remains in place around Maid Marian Way while demolition work progresses at the former Broad Marsh NCP car park and Nottingham College building.
NCT does not currently expect services to divert, but lane restrictions and temporary traffic lights are expected to cause delays.
The arrangements are due to continue until the end of November.
East Bridgford and Lowdham
The long-running A614/A6097 improvement programme continues.
At East Bridgford, Kirk Hill and East Bridgford Road remain closed for the reconstruction of the Kirk Hill junction, with associated changes to Rushcliffe Villager and Nottsbus services.
Major construction also continues at Lowdham Roundabout.
