The A1 in Nottinghamshire is closed northbound between the A6075 (Tuxford) and the A638 (Markham Moor) due to a serious collision.
Nottinghamshire Police are leading response at scene with National Highways Traffic Officers implementing the closures on the approach.
A diversion route using local routes has been installed by Nottinghamshire Police.

The service said at 11:42 on Sunday 13 September that crews expect to remain at the scene for some time and advised drivers to expect delays and plan their routes accordingly.
