Nottinghamshire weather for Friday 24 July

Friday 24 July is forecast to be dry, bright and warm, with long sunny spells and temperatures reaching around 25C during the afternoon and early evening.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout the day.

Early morning

Friday will begin dry and mild, with clear or sunny conditions from the early hours. Temperatures are expected to be around 15C at 4am, dipping to 14C at 5am and 6am, before rising to 15C by 7am and 17C by 8am.

Winds will be light, mainly from the west and west-north-west at around 2mph to 3mph. Gusts are expected to stay modest, between around 9mph and 11mph.

Visibility will be very good, while humidity will be fairly high at first, around 82% to 84%, before falling to around 69% by 8am. Rain is not expected, with the chance of precipitation below 5%.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay dry, with sunny spells and some cloud at times.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 19C at 9am to 20C by 10am, 22C by 11am and 23C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature through the morning, around 19C to 22C.

Winds will come from the west-north-west at around 3mph to 6mph, with gusts increasing from around 13mph to 21mph by midday.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will fall steadily, reaching around 44% by midday. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection is advisable for anyone spending time outdoors.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm, dry and bright, with sunny spells and some cloud around at times.

Temperatures are forecast to reach around 24C by 1pm and 25C from 2pm through to 5pm. The “feels like” temperature will be slightly lower at times, around 22C to 24C.

Winds will remain from the west-north-west at around 7mph, with gusts close to 22mph through much of the afternoon. Visibility will stay very good.

Humidity will remain relatively low, around 40% to 41%, and the chance of rain will stay below 5%. UV levels will remain high in the early afternoon, around 7, before easing later.

Evening

The evening will remain dry and settled, with sunshine continuing into the early evening before clear spells develop later.

Temperatures are expected to be around 25C at 6pm, falling to 24C by 7pm and 22C by 8pm. It will become cooler later in the evening, dropping to 20C by 9pm, 19C by 10pm and 17C by 11pm.

Winds will come from the west-north-west or north-west at around 5mph to 8mph, with gusts easing from around 22mph early in the evening to around 10mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 39% to 40% early in the evening to 63% by 11pm. The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.
