Nottinghamshire weather for Friday 6 March

Cloudy conditions will dominate on Friday 6 March with cooler temperatures and an increasing chance of light rain or drizzle later in the day, following the unusually warm weather earlier in the week.

EARLY MORNING
The day will start overcast with a small chance of light rain during the early hours. Temperatures will be around 9°C at 5am before dipping slightly to 7°C to 8°C through the early morning. Winds will come from the north-west at around 7 mph with occasional gusts reaching 16 to 18 mph. Rainfall risk sits between 20 and 30 per cent early on.

MIDDAY
Cloud will remain widespread through the late morning and midday period. Temperatures will slowly recover to around 8°C by midday after a cooler start. Winds turn northerly at around 7 mph with gusts near 17 mph. The chance of rain remains relatively low through most of the middle of the day, generally around 10 per cent.

AFTERNOON
The afternoon stays mostly cloudy and noticeably cooler than previous days. Temperatures will reach around 9°C during the early afternoon before gradually easing later in the day. Rain risk begins to increase again through the afternoon, rising from around 20 per cent to as high as 40 per cent by late afternoon. Winds remain from the north at around 7 mph with gusts near 17 mph.

EVENING
Cloudy conditions continue into the evening with the possibility of occasional light rain or drizzle, particularly earlier in the evening when the chance of precipitation may reach around 50 per cent. Temperatures will fall from around 9°C late afternoon to about 7°C by late evening. Winds ease slightly and shift from north to north-north-east at around 5 to 7 mph, with gusts gradually dropping from around 15 mph to near 8 mph overnight.
