Early morning
The day will begin cold and cloudy, with temperatures around 1°C. Rain chances are very low during the early morning, generally below five per cent. Winds will be light from the east at around 4 to 5 mph, giving a chilly start to the day with the potential for a slight frost in sheltered areas.
Midday
Through late morning and into midday, skies will remain overcast but dry. Temperatures will rise slowly to around 4°C. Rain risk remains minimal, with probabilities staying below five per cent. Winds will gradually veer towards the east-south-east and strengthen slightly to around 6 to 8 mph.
Afternoon
The afternoon will stay dry but cold, with temperatures reaching around 5°C. Cloud cover will remain extensive, limiting any brightness. Winds will become moderate from the east-south-east at around 8 to 10 mph, with gusts approaching 20 to 21 mph in exposed areas.
Evening
During the evening, conditions will become increasingly unsettled. Cloud will thicken further and the chance of rain will rise steadily from around 30 per cent early in the evening to 70 per cent by late evening. Temperatures will hold near 5°C, while east-south-easterly winds strengthen to around 12 to 13 mph, with gusts close to 29 mph, bringing a colder and wetter end to the day.
