Nottinghamshire weather for Monday 9 February

A cloudy but milder day is expected on Monday 8 February with some early showers followed by brighter spells later.

Early morning will be mostly overcast with outbreaks of light rain or drizzle moving through. Temperatures around 8°C at first will feel cooler in a light south-south-easterly breeze, briefly dipping nearer 6°C in sheltered spots. The showers become increasingly patchy towards mid-morning.

By midday the rain clears and conditions gradually brighten. Cloud will remain widespread but there will be occasional sunny intervals developing. Temperatures rise to around 9°C or 10°C with only light winds, making it feel noticeably milder than recent mornings.

During the afternoon it stays largely dry with a mix of cloud and brighter spells. The best chance of sunshine comes mid-afternoon as temperatures hold near 10°C. Winds remain light from the south-east and visibility will be good.

Into the evening cloud thickens again with a small chance of a stray light shower, although most places stay dry. Temperatures slowly fall from about 9°C to near 8°C overnight in gentle south-easterly winds, ending the day on a relatively mild note.
