Nottinghamshire weather for Saturday 10 January

Saturday 10 January 2026 is expected to be a colder but quieter day following the recent unsettled spell, with largely dry conditions, light winds and some brightness developing during the middle of the day.

Early morning
The day will begin cold and mostly cloudy, with temperatures around 0°C at dawn. A light frost is possible in places, particularly where skies clear for a time overnight. Winds will be light from the north-north-west at around 4 to 5 mph, keeping conditions calm but chilly. Feels-like temperatures will be closer to -3°C, and although there is a small chance of a light flurry early on, most places should remain dry.

Midday
By late morning into midday, cloud will thin to allow brighter spells, with some sunshine breaking through. Temperatures will slowly lift to around 1°C by late morning and reach approximately 2°C by midday. Winds will remain light, veering northerly to north-north-easterly at around 4 mph. It will still feel cold, but the lighter winds will make conditions more comfortable than in previous days.

Afternoon
The afternoon will stay largely dry with a mix of sunny spells and patchy cloud. Temperatures are expected to peak at around 2°C, holding steady through the early to mid-afternoon. Winds will stay light and variable, generally from the north or north-north-east. Feels-like temperatures will hover close to freezing, making it a crisp but relatively settled winter afternoon.

Evening
As daylight fades, temperatures will fall quickly, dropping back to around 0°C during the early evening and falling to -1°C later on. Skies will remain mostly dry with broken cloud. Winds will be light from the south-south-east at around 3 to 4 mph. With temperatures falling below freezing again, icy patches may form on untreated surfaces overnight, particularly where any residual moisture remains.
