Saturday is expected to be a largely dry and fairly bright day across Nottinghamshire, with some sunny spells developing through the morning and afternoon.
Early morning
The day will begin cloudy but dry, with only a small chance of rain around dawn. Temperatures will start at around 1°C to 3°C, making it one of the colder mornings of the week. Winds will be from the east-south-east at around 10 mph, adding a slight chill to the air.
Midday
By late morning and into midday, brighter conditions are expected, with sunny intervals breaking through cloud. The risk of rain remains very low, generally below five per cent. Temperatures will rise steadily to around 6°C to 7°C by midday. Winds will remain moderate from the east-south-east at around 11 to 12 mph, giving a crisp but pleasant feel in any sunshine.
Afternoon
The afternoon will stay mostly dry with a mix of cloud and sunshine. Temperatures will peak at around 8°C, making it mild compared with the early morning. Winds will continue from the east-south-east at around 12 to 13 mph, with gusts near 25 mph in exposed areas.
Evening
During the evening, cloud will gradually thicken and the chance of rain will increase, particularly later in the evening. Rain probabilities rise from around 10 per cent early in the evening to around 50 per cent by late evening. Temperatures will slowly fall from around 7°C to 6°C. Winds will remain moderate from the east-south-east at around 13 to 14 mph, bringing a cooler and slightly more unsettled end to the day.
