Nottinghamshire weather for Sunday 8 March

A largely cloudy but mild day is expected on Sunday 8 March, with a chance of light rain early in the morning before drier conditions develop through the afternoon and a calm evening with the possibility of mist later on.

EARLY MORNING
The day will begin mostly cloudy with a risk of light rain or drizzle during the early morning hours. Rainfall chances are highest around dawn, reaching around 50 per cent before gradually easing. Temperatures will start at around 8°C at 6am before dipping slightly to around 7°C through the early morning. Winds will be light from the south-east at around 4 to 5 mph with occasional gusts between 11 and 13 mph.

MIDDAY
Cloud will remain widespread through the late morning and midday period, although the chance of rain will steadily decrease. Temperatures will climb from around 9°C late morning to approximately 10°C by midday. Winds will continue from the south-south-east at around 5 mph with gusts close to 14 mph. Rain risk falls to around 10 to 20 per cent during this period.

AFTERNOON
Conditions remain mostly cloudy but largely dry through the afternoon. Temperatures will reach around 12°C by mid-afternoon. Winds continue from the south-south-east at around 5 to 6 mph with gusts close to 14 mph. The chance of rainfall drops to below five per cent for much of the afternoon.

EVENING
Cloud will persist into the evening with dry conditions expected. Temperatures will gradually fall from around 12°C late afternoon to around 10°C by late evening. Winds remain light from the south-east at around 5 mph with occasional gusts near 10 mph. Mist may begin to form in places later in the evening as temperatures slowly fall under the persistent cloud cover.
