Nottinghamshire weather for Tuesday 10 March

A mild day with some sunny intervals is expected on Tuesday 10 March, although cloud will increase later with rain likely arriving during the evening.

EARLY MORNING
The day will begin mostly cloudy but dry, with temperatures around 6°C to 7°C during the early morning hours. Winds will be light from the south-west at around 6 mph, with occasional gusts between 12 and 13 mph. Rainfall risk remains very low at below five per cent.

MIDDAY
Through the late morning and midday period, brighter spells will develop with some sunshine breaking through the cloud. Temperatures will rise steadily from around 9°C during the morning to about 11°C to 12°C by midday. South-westerly winds will strengthen slightly to around 11 to 12 mph with gusts reaching the mid-20s mph at times.

AFTERNOON
The afternoon will remain mild with a mix of cloud and occasional sunny intervals. Temperatures will reach around 12°C through much of the afternoon. Winds from the south-west to south-south-west will become breezier, increasing to around 13 to 14 mph with gusts nearing 26 to 27 mph. Conditions will remain dry through most of the afternoon.

EVENING
Cloud will thicken into the evening and rain is likely to develop later in the night. Temperatures will gradually fall from around 12°C in the late afternoon to around 9°C by late evening. Winds will remain moderate from the south to south-south-west at around 13 to 16 mph with gusts approaching the mid-teens. Rainfall chances increase sharply during the evening, rising from around 30 per cent earlier in the evening to as high as 90 per cent by late evening.
