A suspect was sniffed out by a police dog and arrested in Nottingham – shortly after a car failed to stop for officers.
PD Chase found the man hiding in a garage behind a pool table, into which a bag of drugs had been stuffed.
The incident began in Shelton Street, St Ann’s, at around 2.40 am on Thursday when officers began following a suspicious vehicle.
The car was then driven away at high-speed and pursued by officers through the local area.
After coming to a stop in Boynton Drive, the driver fled the scene, and a local containment was put in place by multiple officers.
PD Chase quickly picked up a scent and led his handler to a property in Kenrick Road where the suspect was detained.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving whilst disqualified, drug driving, and possession of a class B drug.

“In situations like this, the tracking skills of dogs like PD Chase are invaluable and allow us to catch up with suspects who may otherwise have got away.”
