Pedestrian, 82, dies after Nottingham city centre collision

An 82-year-old woman has died following a collision in Nottingham city centre.

The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Mansfield Road and Union Road at 11.54am on Monday 10 November.

She was taken to hospital and sadly died the following day.

The woman’s family is being supported by officers.

The driver has been spoken to by police and enquiries are continuing.

Detective Sergeant Jo Eaton, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with the woman’s family following this tragic incident.

“Specially trained officers continue to work with them and offer their support and the family have asked for privacy as they come to terms with this terrible loss. They have also asked people not to engage in online speculation about the incident.”
