Pedestrian taken to hospital after Nottingham collision


The collision happened this morning on Mansfield Road in Nottingham between a woman pedestrian and a car. 

Police said:

‘Emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a woman pedestrian in Mansfield Road, Nottingham, just before 6am today.

‘The pedestrian was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not currently believed to be serious.

‘Two lanes remains closed while the incident is being dealt with but two lanes remain open.

‘Officers remain at the scene of the collision and our enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

‘We are asking anyone who saw what happened or any drivers who may have captured dash cam footage of the incident to please get in contact with us. If you have any information which could help us please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 61 of 8 April 2021, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’

Nottingham Travelwise said:

‘Mansfield Road inbound currently blocked by emergency services. Vehicles are currently contraflowing into the outbound lanes. Please be aware this may cause delays so allow extra time for your journey, further updates to follow.’

AA Roadwatch reports:

‘Partially blocked and slow traffic due to accident on A60 Mansfield Road both ways between Mapperley Road / Forest Road East and Huntingdon Street. The accident has occurred inbound near Trinity Church.’
