Police are urging anyone who witnessed an attempted robbery in Forest Fields in Nottingham to come forward.
Officers are investigating an incident in which a man was reportedly chased by two people with a knife.
The hooded duo reportedly approached the victim as he walked down Clumber Avenue and then produced a weapon.
After pushing and kicking the man, they told him to empty his pockets. He refused before managing to run away unharmed.
The police were notified shortly after the incident, which happened at around 10:50 am on 9 December.
Officers can now release a still image showing the offence but are keen to view any other footage that might have been captured at the time.
They also want to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the attempted robbery, including the driver of a car seen passing by as it happened.
PC Fiona Price, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Any piece of information, however small or insignificant it might seem, could really help us in finding the two hooded individuals involved in this incident.
“That includes any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage showing what happened, perhaps from a different angle to the ones our officers have been able to review so far.
“On the subject of drivers, we particularly want to speak to any motorists who passed by and may have gotten a decent look at the faces of those involved.
