The incident happened in a remote wooded location away from water supplies.Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘This evening ( 9 June ) our Tuxford crews were mobilised to a vehicle fire in Kirton.
‘Upon arrival it was clear that the vehicle was well alight and due to the location and distance away from a water supply, we put a message to our control to make pumps 2, this then mobilised Edwinstowe to assist us.
‘The crew used 2 breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera to deal with the incident.
‘The incident has now been handed over to the police to investigate and deal with.’
