A new metal leaf sphere has now been installed in West Bridgford as work continues on new tree sculptures in the area.
The feature has been placed in a raised bed, replacing an existing focal point as part of improvements being carried out in the town.
Rushcliffe Borough Council previously confirmed that chainsaw sculptor Peter Leadbeater had been appointed to carve two tree trunks nearby.

One trunk is being transformed into a totem pole featuring British wildlife carvings, while a lower stump is set to be carved into the shape of a fawn.

The carving work began last week and is expected to be completed soon, subject to progress on site.

The council said the works are intended to retain a natural feature in the area while creating a new point of interest for visitors.

Images now show the newly installed metal leaf sphere in place, with the carved sculptures still to be completed.
