Neighbourhood police officer are out in Keyworth today carrying out speed enforcement checks.
Police said on Thursday 18 September:
‘Following increased reports of excess speeding, officers have been out on Bunny Lane in Keyworth today conducting speed checks.’
‘Speeding doesn’t just break the law – it puts lives at risk.
‘Here’s why:
• Reduced reaction time – less chance to respond to the unexpected.
• Magnifies other errors – such as tailgating, distraction, or fatigue.
• Greater impact severity – collisions at higher speeds are far more serious and often fatal.
• Decreased vehicle control – harder to steer and stop safely.
