A woman has been left shaken after her purse was stolen from her house whilst she was upstairs reading.
Officers used local CCTV footage to catch the offender, who was later identified by the woman who recognised the man.
The burglar took cash and bank cards inside the purse after breaking into the back of her house.
Police Constable Louise Turton from the burglary team is leading the investigation. She said: “Officers were called following a report of a burglary in Tudwell Close, Bestwood on Saturday afternoon.

“This must have been a frightening experience for the woman. She is still quite shaken up by what had happened.
“After a search on local CCTV footage a 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
