The operator said:
‘The emergency services are dealing with an incident near the railway.
‘This is currently disrupting our trains on the London St Pancras/ Nottingham/ Sheffield route.
‘Network Rail and Emergency Services are making their way to investigate the situation. At this time we do not have an estimated time that they are due to arrive on site.’
‘Trains running through the area in the Market Harborough direction cannot run between Loughborough and Market Harborough.
‘Trains running through the area in the Leicester direction cannot run between Market Harborough and Loughborough.
‘At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again.
‘We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 14:30.’
