The Robin Hood Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday 26 September, affecting Navy, Green, Pink and Orange Line services.
Some services will be diverted, with Pink 30 and Orange 34 suspended for most of the morning. Buses on diversion will observe all stops. Timings shown are approximate and diversions may begin and end earlier or later than advertised.
For most of the morning, we will not be able to serve the Railway Station and customers will need to board and alight in the Broadmarsh area.
Navy 1:
From 08:30 until approx. 13:30:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to Trent Bridge and then continue along London Road (Victoria Embankment stop is closed), left Canal Street to the Broadmarsh area, where they will resume normal route to the City Centre.
- Buses towards Clifton will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, right London Road to resume normal route from Trent Bridge.
Between 09:20 and 10:20, London Road is closed in both directions and buses will take the following alternative route:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to County Hall then right Radcliffe Road, left Lady Bay Bridge, right Meadow Lane, left Manvers Street, left Southwell Road, right Lower Parliament Street, left Hockley, right Cranbrook Street to the Victoria Centre area, continuing along Parliament Street, left Maid Marian Way, left Friar Lane to Beastmarket Hill.
- Buses towards Clifton will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, Fisher Gate, Pennyfoot Street, right Manvers Street to Lady Bay Retail Park, right Meadow Lane, left Lady Bay Bridge, continue Radcliffe Road, right Abbey Road, right Davies Road, right Gordon Road, Central Avenue, Bridgford Road to the Cricket Ground, left Loughborough Road to resume normal route.
Green 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10/10C:
From 08:30 until approx. 13:30:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to Trent Bridge and then continue along London Road (Victoria Embankment stop is closed), left Canal Street to the Broadmarsh area, where they will resume normal route to the City Centre.
- Buses towards West Bridgford and Ruddington will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, right London Road to resume normal route from Trent Bridge.

- Green 5, 6, 8, 9, will turn right Davies Road to resume normal route from West Bridgford Town Centre via Gordon Road (6) or Rectory Road (5, 8, 9). Customers on Central Avenue will need to use stops on Gordon Road or Rectory Road.
- Green 7 will turn left on to Davies Road to resume normal route
- Green 10 will turn right Davies Road, right Gordon Road, Central Avenue, Bridgford Road to the Cricket Ground, left Loughborough Road to resume normal route.
Green 11, 11C:
There will be no service through the Meadows until approx. 13:30.
From 08:30 until approx. 13:30:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to Trent Bridge and then continue along London Road (Victoria Embankment stop is closed), left Canal Street to the Broadmarsh area, where they will resume normal route to the City Centre.
- Buses towards Lady Bay will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, right London Road to resume normal route from Trent Bridge.
Between 09:20 and 10:20, London Road is closed in both directions and buses will take the following alternative route:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to the end of Trent Boulevard then right Lady Bay Bridge, right Meadow Lane, left Manvers Street, left Southwell Road, right Lower Parliament Street, left Hockley, right Cranbrook Street to the Victoria Centre area, where they will resume normal route. Customers for the Broadmarsh area and Station should remain on the bus.
- Buses towards Lady Bay will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, Fisher Gate, Pennyfoot Street, right Manvers Street to Lady Bay Retail Park, right Meadow Lane, left Lady Bay Bridge, left Trent Boulevard to resume normal route.
Pink 28:
From 08:50 until 11:40:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route throughout.
- Buses to Bilborough will follow their normal route to Canning Circus then right Alfreton Road, left Aspley Lane, left Western Boulevard, right Beechdale Road to normal route
Pink 28:

Orange 34:
There is no suitable diversion route and the service is suspended for most of the morning. The first buses will be:
- From University Park: 12:06
- From Broadmarsh Collin Street: 11:45
From 11:45 until 13:00:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to Derby Road/QMC Roundabout, buses will then use Middleton Boulevard to Crown Island, right Wollaton Road and Ilkeston Road to Canning Circus, where they will resume normal route
- Buses to University Park Campus will follow their normal route to Canning Circus then Ilkeston Road, Wollaton Road to Crown Island, left Middleton Boulevard to QMC roundabout, turning right to Derby Road Uni North Entrance.
Orange 35, 36:
Derby Road is closed for most of the morning and as in previous years, customers will interchange with the tram at Meadows Way West tram stop. We will not be able to serve stops on Derby Road for QMC during this time. The nearest alternative stops will be at University North Entrance throughout.
From 09:00 until approx. 11:45:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to University North Entrance / QMC Roundabout then right Clifton Boulevard where they will head to the Meadows Way West tram stop. Customers will be transferred on to the tram for free travel into the City.
- Buses to Bulwell and Chilwell will commence from Meadows Way West tram stop. Customers from the City will need to catch a Toton Lane destined tram (for free) and alight at Meadows Way West for the 35 and 36. Buses will resume their normal route from University North Entrance / QMC roundabout.
From 11:45 until 13:00:
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to University North Entrance / QMC Roundabout the left Middleton Boulevard to Crown Island, right Wollaton Road and Ilkeston Road to Canning Circus, where they will resume normal route
- Buses to Bulwell and Chilwell will follow their normal route to Canning Circus then Ilkeston Road, Wollaton Road to Crown Island, left Middleton Boulevard to QMC roundabout, turning right to Derby Road and resuming normal route.
Navy 48:
As in previous years, customers will interchange with the tram at Meadows Way West tram stop from 08:30 until approx. 13:30 due to roads into the City being closed.
- Buses to City will follow their normal route to Bridgway Centre then left Meadows Way to the Meadows Way West tram stop. Customers will be transferred on to the tram for free travel into the City.
- Buses to Clifton will commence from Meadows Way West tram stop. Customers from the City will need to catch a Toton Lane destined tram (for free) and alight at Meadows Way West for the 48. Buses will resume their normal route from Queen’s Drive. Customers on Robin Hood Way and at Bridgway Centre should catch the 48 on the opposite side of the road as normal and stay on the bus through the tram stop.
