Response officers later carried out a search of a property in St Ann’s and discovered further bags of the Class B drug as well as multiple mobile phones.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
Sergeant Declan Bourne, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This incident highlights the importance of our stop and search powers. We have been able to arrest a suspect and take a large amount of drugs out of circulation.
“The supply of drugs continues to create multiple problems in our communities and damages people’s lives. We will always respond robustly to any reports of drug dealing and it is always good news when we can seize drugs and destroy them.”
