A bin lorry had to shed its load after an issue with the braking system was spotted by the crew.
A Rushcliffe Borough Council spokesperson said: “One of our refuse vehicles discharged its load on Loughborough Road in West Bridgford after the crew noticed smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle which was subsequently found to be a brake issue.
“Members of the waste team quickly resolved this and followed protocols to keep passing motorists and themselves safe. The waste load was cleared within an hour of this taking place.”
