Rushcliffe Borough Council has confirmed selected council meetings will not take place until at least July in light of the emerging COVID-19 situation.
The authority’s scrutiny, licensing, standards and corporate overview groups will now not sit at its Rushcliffe Arena base in the coming months.
However, its Planning Committee and Cabinet will continue to meet as planned with its April 9 and May 14 and the April 7 and May 12 meetings respectively set to go ahead. These dates will be further reviewed as necessary.
Its Annual Council meeting is now planned to take place on July 2 with an extra Council meeting to be planned for later that month for ordinary business subject to diary availability.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Chief Executive Kath Marriott said: “We are reassuring all residents and councillors that postponing these meetings is part of pre-cautionary measures around COVID-19.
The council will continue to deliver its statutory functions and services.”
