Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Streetwise team has been named Best Council Services Team at The MJ Awards.
The team received the award at a ceremony in London, where they were recognised alongside councils from across the country.
Rushcliffe Borough Council Mayor Councillor Richard Butler, Chief Executive Adam Hill, Streetwise Manager Luke Colaluca and team member Evelyn Shaw attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of the team.

The Streetwise service was shortlisted against other unitary, county, district and borough authorities from across the UK.
Councillor Butler said the council was “very proud” of the team and said the award reflected the work carried out in recent years.
He said: “We are very proud of our Streetwise team here at Rushcliffe Borough Council, supported by our legal, finance and HR teams.
“This award is testament to all they have achieved in recent years. The staff members richly deserve this for the very high standards and quality of the grounds maintenance, street cleansing and tree services we provide across our public areas, parks and open spaces.
“Winning Best Council Services highlights further to our residents and fellow industry professionals the success of their operating model and how it can be a template for success.
“We think it shows how exceptional hard work and ever-greater focus and determination to deliver in the local community can produce a forward-thinking service.
“It is a real achievement to be acknowledged in the same breath as other successful councils with significantly larger populations and resources.”
