Rushcliffe waste teams saved a stray tortoise.
A spokesperson said:
‘Well done to Lee and Thomas from Rushcliffe Borough Council’s waste team who spotted Sybil the tortoise crawling along a road in Barnstone last month just inches from danger and passing vehicles!
‘She had escaped from her home nearby but was quickly scooped up and safely reunited with her owners.’
