Police arrested seven men and seized drugs and a weapon following a disturbance inside a Nottingham home.
Emergency services were called to Norton Street, Radford, around 8.55pm yesterday (Thursday 25 April) after a man reported being attacked by a group armed with weapons.
Officers were quickly deployed to the scene and detained a group of men attempting to flee from the area.
Searches also recovered a large quantity of cannabis and an extendable baton.
Seven men, aged 20, 22, 24, 24, 25, 26 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of affray. The 20-year-old and 30-year-old were further arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.
The 24-year-old was additionally arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
One man suffered minor injuries.
Detective Inspector Julian Eminson-Ferry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We responded rapidly last night as we always aim to do whenever there are reports of violent incidents, particularly involving weapons.
“The officers who attended the scene should be commended for their robust response, which saw multiple suspects detained and drugs and a weapon taken off the streets.
