A section of the A60 Loughborough Road in West Bridgford will close overnight for almost a week while highways work is carried out.
The closure will be in place from Thursday, August 6, until Wednesday, August 12, between 20:00 and 06:00 each night.
It will affect the A60 from a point 165 metres north of its junction with Rugby Road to the junction with Melton Road.
Via East Midlands said crews will carry out preparation and patching ahead of surface dressing work.
Temporary parking restrictions will also apply on both sides of the affected section throughout the works.
A signed diversion will take motorists along the A60, A52 and A606, with the route operating in both directions.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys while the restrictions are in place.
Buses Green 10/A/C will divert between 6th and 12th August, 20:00-06:00 each night.
Buses towards Ruddington will follow normal route to the Loughborough Road, Melton Road junction. Buses will then turn left onto Melton Road, right on Musters Road, right on Eton Road and onto Rugby Road to the normal route.
Buses towards the city will be on the normal route along Rugby Road. At the junction of Loughborough Road buses will carry straight on into Eton Road, turning left onto Musters Road, left Melton Road and normal route onto Loughborough Road.
