Suspect appears in court after Wollaton stabbing

Detectives investigating a stabbing have placed a suspect before the courts.

Police were called to a street disturbance in Teesbrook Drive, Wollaton, Nottingham, at 3.25am on Saturday (16 August).

They found a man inside a car who said he had been stabbed and he was taken to hospital with injuries which are not life-altering or life-threatening in nature.

Officers recovered a knife during the incident and police also seized further weapons and Class A drugs when they later searched a property.

Twenty-six-year-old Skye Severn, of Teesbrook Drive, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday (18 August) and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 15 September 2025.

Detective Sergeant Adam Rose, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Any report of knife crime is treated with the utmost seriousness and I hope our response in locating, arresting, and charging this suspect provides reassurance to the wider community.”
